With her background in economics, Dina brings analytical and data-driven problem-solving skills to her work at Camoin Associates. Dina has worked on a number of workforce development strategic plans and market analyses focusing on the use of data to inform decision-making. She has also worked on various projects focusing on quantifying economic impacts for communities related to residential, industrial, and commercial development, as well as tourism and visitation.
Dina has her Bachelor’s in Economics and Mathematics from Siena College, and is working toward her Master’s in Public Economics and Finance from the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy. During her undergraduate work, she spent an academic-year studying economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science in England. She also conducted independent research with esteemed professor, Aaron Pacitti Ph.D. Together, they studied trends post-retirement compensation data in the United States. They examined whether a more equitable approach to employment relations could promote distributively just labor market outcomes and improve macroeconomic performance.
Dina’s Affecting Real Change
Dina is particularly interested in analyzing labor market data to inform strategic plans that create and enhance opportunities for a region’s workforce. She has written several articles for the Camoin Associates’ Economic Development Navigator relating to the labor market, including A Look at What's Happening in the U.S. Wind Power Industry and Workforce Development & Replacement Demand: Northeastern Maine Workforce Development Board.
Since Dina lives in the Adirondacks, during her free time she likes to go hiking, kayaking, and do yoga, but more often than not, you’ll find her just enjoying a cup of specialty coffee with a good book.
