Emily McKenna
Emily brings over ten years of experience assisting communities in addressing their economic needs through planning and development initiatives. She has managed projects involving community planning, economic development, grant writing, historic preservation, shared services and downtown revitalization. She also has extensive knowledge in community engagement and gathering stakeholder input.
Through her experience, Emily has gained a great deal of procedural, organizational and managerial knowledge about economic development programs and funding strategies. Additionally, Emily's leadership training has instilled in her the skills necessary to coordinate multiple partners in formulating a vision, creating actionable goals for both short- and long-term strategies, and elicit widespread support for key development projects.
Before joining Camoin Associates, Emily worked as a Community Development Specialist with the New York State Tug Hill Commission in Watertown, New York where she completed a Scenic Byway Corridor Management Plan involving over 40 communities, secured grant funding for an asset management initiative involving 15 municipalities, and assisted with the planning and execution of the first Lewis County Economic Development Conference.
